OUR Vision

A world in which more people stand up for disadvantaged children and work together against child slavery and child labor.

OUR Mission

We want to contribute to the abolition of child slavery and child labor by reaching out to the public, families and children through edutainment formats and encouraging them to BE LOUD with us.

With donations we want to support selected local partner organizations to free slave children from acute danger situations and to give them a chance for a better future through education..

Anke Burfeind

Founder of CiF

Anke Burfeind is a graduate economist from the University of Witten/Herdecke and banker with parallel training in acting, singing and songwriting. She worked for many years in various social enterprises and functions.

In 2010 a documentary about child slavery changed her life and she decided to do something about it.
The biggest need for support was seen by the big organizations like the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the areas of public relations and fundraising. In order not to discourage the public by this terrible issue, she developed »softer« formats to inform families and especially children about this worldwide injustice to children and to get them involved.
For this purpose, she created the non-profit organization »Childhood in Freedom« on November 20, 2020, the United Nations World Children’s Day and International Children’s Rights Day.

Kamila v. Sternberg

IT enthusiast and website maker

When Kamila von Sternberg heard that today there are still more than 10 million children enslaved and that every 10th child worldwide has to work, it was immediately clear to her that she wanted to use her talents in the fight against child slavery.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our great gratitude to the numerous supporters, co-thinkers and co-doers:
